FORWARD PARTY STATEMENT ABOUT UNWELCOME COMMENTS TO FEMALE STAFFER

Forward Party has cut ties with the individual in question and such behavior will not be tolerated.

"On Saturday evening, during a Forward event in Houston, a female staffer notified our leadership that she had been the subject of unwelcome sexual and racial comments by an attendee. We do not take such claims lightly and have taken appropriate remedial action. Forward has ended its association with the attendee. Our highest priority is to maintain an environment where all staffers feel safe and protected. We will ensure that any actions that do not align with Forward’s principles are met with appropriate consequences. While we are dismayed by the events, we are grateful to the staffer who came forward and brought this matter to our attention. We trust that our prompt actions will encourage anyone who experiences harassing behavior to come forward knowing that their concerns will be heard and handled appropriately. We trust that this sends a clear message to anyone that would engage in such conduct that they have no place in the Forward Party."
