SIGNATURE COLLECTION

Field Captain

  • Manage local events to gather signatures
  • Use apps/tech and enable your team assignments

Canvasser

  • Canvass local neighborhoods with a buddy and collect signatures door to door

Table Volunteer

  • Show up to local events to collect signatures and talk to people about the Forward Party

COMMUNICATIONS

All communications products should strive to meet one or more of our communications objectives:

  • Recruit volunteers
  • Build community
  • Raise awareness

 

Visual Content Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our Instagram and YouTube accounts
    • Explore expansion to other channels used by our target publics
  • Develop image-based content to be shared across multiple platforms
  • Produce video content
    • Cover events, gatherings, and meetings
    • Educate target publics on our principles and priorities.

 

Newsletter Editor

Responsibilities:

  • Publish a monthly e-newsletter to our website
  • Coordinate with social media manager to share on Twitter and Facebook
  • Maintain consistent voice and structure
  • Cover Maryland FWD events and gatherings
  • Produce editorial on FWD priority (e.g. RCV)
  • Generate long-form content on Maryland Forwardists
  • Boost newsworthy items from FWD HQ

 

Blogger

Responsibilities:

  • Publish weekly or biweekly to our website
  • Coordinate with social media manager to share on Twitter and Facebook
  • Maintain consistent voice and structure
  • Generate content to educate target publics on our principles and priorities
  • Strive to make content relevant to Marylanders
Volunteer for Communications

 

 

OUTREACH

Outreach Captain

  • Contact new signees of the petition and engage them in 12hrs. Conversation via zoom/phonecall or other means.
  • Determine level of interest for volunteering and forward that info to correct area.
  • Must be able to attempt to contact signee within 24 hours and try to schedule meeting within 7 days of signing.
  • New signees will be rotated between outreach captains to minimize workload.

Event Planner

  • Would like to plan a local area event for signature gathering, fundraising, or just discussions.
