Join the Research Team - North Carolina

Are you a lifelong learner? Do you feel passionate about helping your local and state community? If so, this volunteer opportunity might just be for you!

As a member of the Research Team, you will serve as a volunteer leader in the NC-FWD Community. Conduct research on the most pressing questions for our community, such as:

• How do we get ranked-choice voting (RCV) & non-partisan primaries adopted across NC?
• What are the requirements for us to become recognized as a major political party?
• Which organizations are already working to accomplish goals that we share & how can we join forces?

Volunteers for the Research Team will play an instrumental role in helping drive the Forward Party movement. If you'd like to dedicate an hour or two each week to actively being the change you'd like to see in the world, we can't wait to meet you.

Role Requirements

A. Time commitment of approximately 2 hours per week

• Researching related bills in our state legislature
• Contacting and collaborating with other organizations doing the work on this policy already
• Keeping us all updated on this issue during bi-weekly leadership calls and monthly statewide calls

B. Passion for community activism and willingness to engage with people from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds with grace & tolerance. 

C. Reliable with a high level of integrity.

D. Commitment to building a healthy NC-FWD Community.
