Andrew Kalloch's Profile

As the son of public school teachers, a father, and a former ACLU attorney, Andrew Kalloch will bring an independent mind and a new generation of leadership to D.C.

At the ACLU, Andrew used the power of the courts, the legislature, and mass protest to fight for justice and equality for all. Andrew spent years in government developing solutions on a range of public policy issues, from climate change and affordable housing, to economic development and democratic reform that always places people above party.

Andrew has represented domestic violence survivors in family court, workers fighting big business for unemployment benefits, and incarcerated individuals as they fought for justice behind bars.

Andrew has experienced many of the challenges facing younger Americans, from graduating with six-figure debt and being unable to save for a home until his late 30s, to a child care bill that runs in the thousands every month.

Andrew is fortunate to be able to pay those bills, but too many Oregonians are falling behind in the 21st century economy. Andrew will deliver a forward-looking vision that gives every community, big and small, a future of better-paying jobs, high-quality education, affordable healthcare, and retirement with dignity.

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Andrew served on the Board of the City Clubs of Eugene and Portland, as co-chair of the South Willamette Valley Chapter of the Technology Association of Oregon, and as co-chair of the Portland Committee on Community-Engaged Policing.

Andrew and his spouse, Jenna Adams-Kalloch, reside in Eugene, and are the proud parents of three fifth-generation residents of the Southern Willamette Valley.
