On February 18th, the Arizona Forward Party officially launched their signature gathering campaign to gain party recognition and ballot access in the Grand Canyon State. Their kickoff event took place at the 35th Annual Willow Home Tour & Street Fair, with several thousand Arizona residents in attendance. This is going to be a landmark year for the state party, and we can’t wait to be there with them through it all.
The Forward Party’s message and practical approach to politics resonated with Arizonans, as the party gathered more than 50 signatures in their first couple hours of work. Nearly all of the people who signed the petition were new to the concept of Forward and they immediately gravitated toward the mission and the message. Signature gathering is difficult and time consuming, but the state volunteers did exceptional work, showing just how dedicated Arizona is to finding a better way to do politics and a new way Forward.
The AZ Forward Party has a long road ahead of them, but we’ll be walking with them every step of the way. With your help, Arizona will be the next in a growing list of states who have decided that they’re tired of the two party doom loop that our politics has given us. It’s time to get back to sane politics and trying to solve the problems that matter most.
