Colorado Forward Party Hosts Its First Convention

April 7, 2024

Leadership was elected, a candidate slate was ratified, and a very special guest dropped by

On Saturday, April 6, the Colorado Forward Party hosted their first convention. On the agenda was electing leadership, ratifying their candidate slate, and solidifying their strategy and operations through the ’24 cycle.

As a recognized minor party in the state of Colorado, the registered members were able to weigh in on the slate of candidates and leadership. Coming out of the convention, the ratified candidate slate is:

  • Adam Frisch, US House, CD-3
  • Christopher Sweat, US House, CD-5
  • Niko Woolf, Delta County Commissioner D-3
  • Eric Mulder, State Senate D-28

The Colorado Forward Party prioritizes candidates of character over individuals who adhere to a particular party platform. Instead of asking candidates to sign onto a policy-based platform, they are asked to sign onto our values-based platform.

Candidates are asked to pledge to:

  • Respect the rule of law and uphold the Constitution
  • Support and strengthen democracy and elevate the voice of voters
  • Use data to drive collaborative, effective solutions
  • Build from the bottom up, not the top down
  • Treat everyone with respect and dignity
  • Act with ethics, integrity, and compassion

A very special guest dropped by to discuss his affiliation with the Forward Party—Adam Frisch. The candidate came within 600 votes of defeating Lauren Boebert in 2022, and his support this cycle was likely a factor in her decision to run in a different district. The Forward Party is interested in good people getting elected, no matter their political affiliation.
