Representative Curtis joined the House of Representatives on November 7th, 2017, via a special election to fill the seat of recently resigned Jason Chaffetz. In his tenure on the Hill, he’s earned a reputation as a pragmatic problem solver who’s focused on solutions, not politics. He is noted as the 9th most effective Republican member of Congress, an exceptional feat for someone so new to the institution.

Even more impressively, Rep. Curtis is the founding member and Chair of the new Conservative Climate Caucus, a group of lawmakers from every committee with jurisdiction over climate policy that believes that climate change is real, man-made, and that we must do something to stop it. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee on the Energy and Commerce Committee. Prior to his time in Washington, Rep. Curtis was the Mayor of Provo City for 8 years with an approval rating of 94%!
