Reflecting on the Season

As the holiday season approaches, it is natural to find ourselves reflecting on the past, remembering cherished traditions, warm moments, and a sense of nostalgia for simpler times. Honoring these memories and traditions is important because they shape who we are and remind us of the values that guide us. However, while the past offers comfort and wisdom, it cannot be the place where we stay. The world is changing quickly, and now more than ever, we need to turn our gaze toward the future.

This moment calls for a reset, a deliberate pause to consider not only who we are but also who we aspire to become. To do this, we must honestly assess the world as we find it and decide what we want to change in order to shape the future we desire. This process is not about discarding everything we know. It is about embracing the best of what has worked while staying open to transformation. Change is rarely easy. It can be unsettling and even frightening, but it is also essential. We need the courage to pursue new ways of achieving the goals we hold for ourselves and for our communities. In this time of monumental cultural change, it is time to reconfigure our approach and blend tradition with innovation.

The Strength to Reimagine

Meaningful change does not happen overnight. It requires strength, courage, and determination to navigate the uncertainties that come with forging a new path. This period of reevaluation extends to all aspects of our lives, including our political world. For me, it is an opportunity to rethink not only what we believe but also how we engage with one another in the pursuit of a better society.

I envision a future where people can express their views freely and respectfully, even when they disagree. I want the next generation, my grandchildren and yours, to grow up in a world that celebrates the vast diversity of thoughts, backgrounds, and life experiences. I want them to be unafraid of what is different, to embrace the rich tapestry of our country, and to carry forward the passion and commitment needed to help it thrive.

Rethinking Political Structures

As a lifelong Republican, I once believed that a two party system was the most effective way to govern a nation as vast and varied as ours. Today I see that this approach is no longer serving us as well as we deserve. It has become clear that we need more choices and a political landscape that offers voters the opportunity to elect representatives who are committed to serving their constituents rather than advancing a party agenda.

The responsibility of those in office should be to work for everyone they represent, not only those who voted for them. Unfortunately, our two major parties have become complacent, often prioritizing the preservation of their current position and power over meaningful progress. Challenging this status quo will not be easy. It will take visionaries willing to confront entrenched interests, and it will require citizens from every town, city, and state to bring forward the best of our traditions and reshape them for the decades to come.

The Forward Party: A Movement for Change

This is the mission of the Forward Party and its representatives: to offer a new way forward for our country. The movement is not about abandoning what makes us who we are. It is about adapting and growing to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. It is an invitation to join together in the work of reshaping our future, learning from the wisdom of the past while embracing the possibilities ahead.

Now is the time for a reset. Let us have the strength and conviction to build a nation that honors its traditions by staying open to change, a nation where every voice has a chance to be heard, and a nation that is prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead. Come join us in reshaping the future.
