Forward Party Endorses U.S. House Candidates Dani Sterbinsky in Arizona and Caitlin Rourk in Texas

October 13, 2026

Washington D.C. –

The Forward Party today announced its endorsement of two Democratic candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, Dani Sterbinsky in AZ-9 and Caitlin Rourk in TX-10. Sterbinsky and Rourk are both military veterans who sought out the Forward Party’s endorsement because they believe governing should mean solving problems and serving constituents rather than scoring partisan points.

“Dani Sterbinsky and Caitlin Rourk are Democrats who chose to ask for Forward’s support because they want to put their constituents ahead of their party. Both have served their country in uniform and both are running on a promise to solve problems, representing the people who send them to Washington. Each faces partisan extremists in their respective races. Their candidacy provides voters in Arizona and Texas a candidate rooted in the original fundamentals of governance for the people and by the people, not for a party.”

-Lindsey Drath, CEO, Forward Party

Dani Sterbinsky – Arizona’s 9th Congressional District

Sterbinsky is a Navy veteran running for Congress in Arizona’s 9th District. A registered Democrat, she serves on the city of Surprise’s Personnel Appeals board and as a precinct committee member in her legislative district. Her grassroots campaign accepts no PAC money, while focusing her campaign on affordability and rural representation. Sterbinsky sought the Forward Party’s endorsement because she believes in solving problems over partisan point-scoring, and is closely aligned with Forward’s focus on accountability and community over ideology.

Caitlin Rourk – Texas’s 10th Congressional District

Rourk is a U.S. Army officer, mother and Central Texan running as the Democratic nominee for Congress in Texas’s 10th District. Raised by public school teachers, she has built a career in military service, public policy and the private sector. Rourk was drawn to the Forward Party because she believes governing should be about solving problems and representing one’s own constituents rather than serving a party. In Congress, she will caucus with others who share that mindset and put her district first, putting problem solving above party politics.

These endorsements reflect the Forward Party’s continued cross-partisan candidate strategy, through which the party supports candidates regardless of affiliation who put voters ahead of party interests. They also support Forward’s broader Fulcrum Strategy: building a bloc of elected officials willing to act independently of party leadership on consequential votes, and shifting the incentive in Congress from party loyalty toward earning support on the merits of proposed legislation.

Sterbinsky and Rourk are both running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the general election, taking place on November 3, 2026.
