FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY – Republicans and Democrats should take notice. As the national conversation ramps up around the demand, and need, for viable third parties to fight ideological extremism, improve voters’ choices at the ballot, and disrupt the current status quo, the Forward Party is expanding its team to build a new option for all Americans. John Goodwin joins as communications director and Kayla Berube joins as political director, adding talented, seasoned senior leadership to the team, while expanding the internal infrastructure for long-term growth and success at the ballot box.

Goodwin brings more than two decades of political and corporate communications and marketing experience to the role. He will serve as spokesman for the party while overseeing legacy and emerging media relations; social media engagement; surrogate operations; and overall messaging development. Prior to C-suite roles leading corporate communications and marketing for The Weather Channel, Tivo, and Poly, Goodwin was a Capitol Hill flack and chief of staff for Republican Members of Congress, a campaign operative, and a public affairs advisor to large corporations, associations, and organizations.

Berube is a leading expert at enhancing political strategy with cutting edge technology, with more than 15 years running large scale grassroots campaigns. She will manage candidate recruitment and relations, ballot access, and state party building for Forward. She has worked with multiple state parties, including serving as Executive Director of the Hawaii GOP.  She has worked with many state and federal campaigns in all corners of the country, including serving as Patrick Morrisey’s campaign manager for Attorney General in West Virginia and leading New Hampshire and Illinois ballot access for Scott Walker’s Presidential campaign. In addition, she led data modeling, voter targeting, and audience development projects for prominent advocacy groups while at i360 and Tunnl Data and ran PAC strategy for a national trade association.

Both will report directly to Forward CEO Lindsey Drath, who said:

The Forward Party is America’s new political party. We are building the strongest team, while scaling the infrastructure to support candidates running outside of the failing two-party system. This infrastructure will lay the groundwork for a new kind of politics that values service to country over party, and real solutions over grandstanding. Goodwin and Berube are two of the brightest talents in their fields and will take Forward to the next level for long-term success. With this team, we will help America’s exhausted majority have more choices on the ballot and take back power from the stranglehold of the legacy parties.

The Forward Party is bringing moderates, conservatives, and progressives together to heal our political divisions, find our shared ground, and create a brighter future for America. Forward Party candidates are accountable to the voters, and they will focus on solutions, not partisan fighting, in order to serve their constituents better.
