The Forward Party announced today its endorsement of independent congressional candidate Dennis Mahoney, who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania Congressional District 03, continuing the party’s support for candidates seeking to expand independent representation in Congress.
Mahoney brings more than a decade of disaster relief and humanitarian response experience to his campaign, along with a record of building partnerships to address food insecurity, education and affordability — issues he now hopes to take on for the people of Philadelphia.

Mahoney is the founder of AOI Solutions, a firm focused on disaster relief and humanitarian response. Whether working locally, nationally, or globally, Mahoney has built his career building bridges to deliver results for people in need in the wake of natural disasters. Driven by a faith-based calling to serve others, he has spent the last decade building partnerships focused on food insecurity, education and affordability — priorities shaped by his years of humanitarian and disaster-response work. He believes independent leadership, unbeholden to partisan party interests, is what’s needed to deliver real results for the people of Philadelphia.
Mahoney enters a previously uncontested general election race, submitting an overwhelming 19,000 signatures to earn his way onto the ballot. His grassroots campaign indicates a strong voter appetite for greater choice in candidates in the face of partisan extremism.
This endorsement reflects the Forward Party’s continued and intentional strategy of supporting qualified candidates who demonstrate a record of public service and a commitment to work across political lines, regardless of whether they come from government, business, healthcare, humanitarian work or other backgrounds.
